2009 TAC International Film and Video Festival

TACThe 2009 Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival will be held May 19-23 at the Soreng Theater at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in Eugene, Oregon.

The festival is organized by the Archaeological Legacy Institute (ALI).  The mission of ALI is to develop ways to make archaeology more effective both in gathering important information about past human lifeways and in delivering that information to the public and the profession.  ALI is devoted to archaeological research and its contributions to science and to humanity.

This is the 6th year the festival has taken place.  The goal of the TAC Film Festival is to exhibit the wonderful diversity of human cultures past and present in the exploration of our place in history and in our world.

This years keynote speaker is Dr. Zahi Hawass, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities.
